Arkanoid was the game of an era for many video game fans. It's one of those games that has maintained its edge over the years, never losing its classic appeal. That's why there have been so many other games that have imitated its style.
In this case, Chak's Temple puts you in control of a spaceship that is trying to fight its way across an unknown planet. To do so, you'll use a sphere that, bouncing on the surface of your ship, will explode parts of the planet - trees, rocks, houses, and more.
Chak's Temple's graphics are pretty good, and gameplay is just like you remember from Arkanoid. Move the ship from one side of the screen to the other to make the sphere bounce, and collect items that are released by certain parts of the land. The bonus portions of the game allow you to move your ship all over the area to gather valuable stones.
Once you combine some of the items that you've collected, you can make power-ups, and even more destructive second-level power-ups.
If you want to kick back and enjoy reminiscing about old times while playing with an updated aesthetic, Chak's Temple is free and will get the job done, even if it is a bit slow at times.
